To enhance the service quality of bus waiting facilities, solar-powered e-paper smart bus stop signs are planned for installation at stops lacking power supply or where underground conduit installation and electrical connection are difficult. These smart signs feature real-time bus arrival information, flip-style route map displays, energy-efficient operation, and ease of installation, thereby providing passengers with timely and reliable travel information. With subsidies approved under the Public Transportation Program of the Highway Administration, a total of 117 e-paper smart bus stop signs have been installed citywide to date. By 2026, an additional 200 solar-powered e-paper smart bus stop signs are scheduled to be installed.
