The Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 27A Sinwei Bridge Extension to the Ligang Interchange of National Freeway No. 10 Construction Project was approved by the Executive Yuan in June 2021. The project is administered by the Highway Bureau, MOTC. The route extends eastward from a newly constructed connecting road at the Ligang Interchange of National Freeway No. 10 to Sinwei Bridge, with a total length of approximately 19.7 kilometers. Phase I (Ligang to Meinong) commenced construction in December 2023, and construction progress had reached 33.05% as of the end of March 2026. Phase II (Meinong to Liouguei) commenced construction in November 2024, and construction progress had reached 16.30% as of the end of March 2026. The entire route is scheduled for completion in 2030.
