The Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 27A (Provincial Highway 27A) Sinwei Bridge Extension to the Ligang Interchange of National Freeway No. 10 Construction Project was approved by the Executive Yuan in June 2021. The project is administered by the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, with the alignment extending eastward from the newly added Ligang Interchange on National Freeway No. 10 via a connecting roadway to the Sinwei Bridge, for a total length of approximately 18 kilometers. Phase I (Ligang to Meinong) commenced construction in December 2023; Phase II (Meinong to Liouguei) commenced construction in November 2024, with full completion of the entire corridor scheduled for 2030.
