Following the enthusiastic response to the “Kaohsiung Nostalgia: A Journey Through Memories” double-decker bus event held on May 10 and 11 for Mother’s Day, Kaohsiung Bus once again joins hands with the Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government and the Kaohsiung Music Center to launch a special May edition of the “Blue Crystal Double-Decker Bus Light Travel” holiday package. This limited event will take place on six weekend dates—May 17, 18, 24, 25, 30, and 31—inviting the public to board Taiwan’s only retro-themed double-decker bus and experience the unique charm of the Harbor City.
Participants are to gather at MRT Formosa Boulevard Station at 17:15 on the event days, from where the nostalgic-themed double-decker bus departs in the evening. The route allows travelers to enjoy the cool evening breeze while passing iconic Kaohsiung landmarks such as the Love River, Kaohsiung Port, Pier-2 Art Center, and Hamasen Railway Cultural Park, offering a scenic sunset view of the city. The package is rich in content, including guided narration by professional docents, a limited-edition Kaohsiung double-decker iPASS, an admission ticket to the “Legends of the Stage” exhibition at the Blue Crystal Grand Theater in the Kaohsiung Music Center, and a selection of Kaohsiung’s renowned pastries. After the tour, guests may present their exhibition ticket stub at Kaohsiung Music Center’s self-operated store for shopping discounts.
Valued at_ NT$1,000, the package is now available at a discounted rate of NT$799 for regular tickets. Women, children, and senior citizens can enjoy a further reduced price of NT$699, offering up to 30% off—an exceptional deal. The Transportation Bureau stated that the Mother’s Day nostalgic bus series received overwhelming praise. To show appreciation and give back to TPASS season ticket users, the Bureau is further launching the “520 I Love You Season Ticket Reward Campaign.” TPASS holders of the “Kaohsiung Bus Unlimited Ride,” “Kaohsiung 399,” or “Southern Taiwan 999” passes with valid dates between May 1 and 20 are eligible to enter a raffle for a “Kaohsiung Bus Double-Decker Tour Package for Two” (valued at NT$1,598), with two winners drawn daily on May 24, 25, 30, and 31.
