To guide cars and motorcycles to keep right in advance before turning right, and to decrease right-turning and straight-going car crash accidents, the Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government adjusted the fast and slow traffic lane lines to traffic lane lines (solid white lines to broken white lines) from 30 to 60 meters ahead of intersections. Arrow markings for route direction were marked as well to remind auto and motorcycle drivers to keep right in advance in sequence, which is also beneficial for motorcycle and low speed vehicle riders to be aware of turning movements at intersections. From January to July 2019, the Division completed marking works, namely removal of fast and slow traffic lane lines and addition of arrow markings for route direction with high slip resistance arrow marking lines (65BPN), at 37 intersections on both sides of three main roads, Jhongjheng 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Rd. (from Furen Rd. to Jhongshan Rd.), Wufu 3rd Rd. (from Jhongshan Rd. to Hedong Rd.) and Chengcing Rd. (from Guangfu Rd. to Zihyou Rd.).
