Solar-powered warning facilities are a new generation of traffic warning facilities. Their purpose is similar to that of special flashing signals described in Article 211 of the Traffic Signs, Markings and Lights Installation Rules. However, installation of solar warning facilities is easier than that of traditional flashing signals, and the required installation cost is also lower. This Bureau completed installation of such facilities at five intersections, including the Zuoying District Zihyou 2nd. Rd. Lane 6/Guangsing St. and Zhouzi Lane/Huantan Rd. intersections, in the second half of 2017.
