“Solar-powered Traffic Warning Light” is a new form of traffic warning signs. Its purpose is similar to that of the special flashing lights indicated in Article 211 of the Traffic Signs, Marking and Lights Installation Rules. However, it is more convenient to set up a solar-powered flashing beacon, and its set-up cost is lower than the set-up cost of a traditional flashing light. During the first half of 2017, solar-powered flashing beacons were installed at three intersections, including the intersection of Waihuan E. Road and Rueiping Road in Nanzih District and the intersection of Dingshan Street and Zihjhong Street in Sanmin District.
