Sections of Phase I Circular Light Rail system have started operations one after another since 2015. Considering the route passes through crowded locations such as residential areas, tourist attractions, and business districts, since the first half year of 2019, the Transportation Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government has newly added six pedestrian signals at the following intersections near stations: Kaisyuan/Kaide, Kaisyuan/Rueitien, Chenggong/Fusing, Chenggong/Singuang parking lot, Haibian/Linnanchian, and Haibian/Cingnian. These signals provide residents taking light rail or pedestrians passing by with more convenience and safety when crossing the intersections.
