At accident-prone non-signalized intersections, where three-color traffic light is not installed considering the insufficient flows of traffic and pedestrians, the “solar-powered warning sign” similar to the special flashing light is used. Yellow flashing light is used at arterial roads and red flashing light is used at lateral roads. Not just the rights of way for arterial and lateral roads are effectively distinguished, but also the intersection warning effect is strengthened during the night time. In 2019, the work was completed at four intersections including Cheng Kung Road/Lane 116 of Cheng Kung Road in Daliao District, at the entrance of Agongdian Reservoir in Gangshan District, at the entrance of Dagangshan Nature Park in Alian District, and Jhong Siao Road Sec. 2/Guang Ji Road in Meinong District.
