The number of wheelchair-accessible taxis has reached 72 and will grow to 180 in the future. Each month they served 5,783 trips, 61% of which were provided to people with physical disabilities. The percentage was the highest in Taiwan. Since January 1, 2016, the physically challenged have received an additional subsidy of NT$18 for each one-section ride when using their Priority Cards.
