The city now has 127 wheelchair accessible taxies and the number will increase to 294 in the future. The taxies run 7,000 times per month and 70% of the passengers are people with disabilities. It is the best record in the country. From January 1st, 2016, the disabled with the Disabled Card can further receive a subsidy of NT$18 per section when they take taxies.
