Kaohsiung City has prioritized the outsourcing of the operation of newly-built parking lots, renovated parking lots, and parking lots whose payment systems are about to expire or whose facilities are obsolete in the hope of bringing in the management capacity of the private sector. It has also been establishing systems for license plate recognition, parking occupancy detection, and electric car charging, so as to create a smart and convenient parking environment.
