The project of establishing the largest solar-powered boat fleet in the country

5 first-generation solar-powered boats officially began operating in Love River in September 2010. In 2011, the Bureau continued to build 5 second-generation solar-powered boats, which were delivered and launched in October 2012 and February 2013, respectively. In 2013, 2 third-generation solar-powered boats were purchased. The fleet will consist of 12 solar-powered boats in mid-2013, becoming the largest solar-powered boat fleet in the country.

Strengthening ferry overload control

The Standard Operating Procedure for Control of Passengers and Vehicles Carried at Ferry Stations was established to implement safety control. Recordings and inspections were conducted on major holidays as well as on an irregular basis, to enhance passenger safety and strengthen operational safety.

Integrating multiple e-ticketing systems

In order to integrate the ferry, MRT and bus systems for seamless transport and allow the use of various cards, a subsidy of $5,638,500 was granted by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications on April 30, 2012, to install multi-card ticketing equipment at every ferry station in this city. The equipment has been adopted since late 2012.
