1.Traffic dispersion plan for the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center event
(1)The Kaohsiung Exhibition Center officially opened on April 14, 2014. It offers more than 1,400 booths in the indoor and outdoor exhibition areas and provides 402 car parking spaces and 857 motorcycle parking spaces. (2)Relevant traffic dispersion measures included: launch of shuttle buses to and from MRT stations, incentives for the use of public transport, and installation of traffic indicators and signs during the event. In May 2014, the Bureau completed the improvement project of Singuang Parking Lot and included the parking lot in the fee collection scheme for management purposes.
2.Traffic dispersion plans for the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday
(1)Traffic dispersion plans for tourist attractions during the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday
During the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday from April 4 to 6, 2014, traffic dispersion plans were in place for the eight major tourist attractions in this city, namely Foguangshan, E-Da World, Cishan, Meinong, Cijin, Sizihwan Bay (including Hamasen), Shoushan, and Chengcing Lake, and visitors were encouraged to take public transport.
(2)Public service traffic dispersion plans for the Tomb Sweeping Day
The public service plan for the Tomb Sweeping Day in 2014 was carried out on March 29-30 and April 4-5, totaling four days. Traffic dispersion and control were in place for roads around the public cemeteries in Kaotan (Fongshan), Fudingjin, Shenshueishan, and Cijin, as well as Yuanheng Temple. The Mortuary Services Office also launched eight free shuttle bus routes. The Bureau convened a coordination meeting for the public service traffic dispersion plan for the Tomb Sweeping Day on March 18, 2014, and published a press release for further promotion.
